Professional athletes, essential staff and their dependents in major sports from foreign countries will be allowed to return to the U.S. under an order by the federal government exempting them from any proclamations barring their entry during the COVID-19 pandemic.
President Trump banned international travel in mid-March as one of the measures aimed at slowing the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.
