As the COVID-19 pandemic was shutting down sports and much of the rest of the world, Jason Belmonte was all but wrapping up his sixth PBA Player of the Year crown by winning the PBA World Championship in front of his family, but no fans, in Las Vegas. A planned post-World Series of Bowling vacation soon turned into a race to make one of the last flights home to Australia. Making the flight started the longest stretch Belmonte had spent at home since he was a teenager. When he finally headed...
