Brandon Biondo wins GIBA Iowa Open, earning spot in 2021 U.S. Open

Brandon Biondo won the Greater Iowa Bowling Association Iowa Open at May City Bowl in Cedar Rapids on Sunday, earning a spot in the 2021 U.S. Open. The tournament was contested on a 40-foot flat pattern with 29 mL of oil and Biondo averaged 220.1 as just 16 of the 71 players averaged 200 or better. 2011 USBC Masters champion Tom Hess finished 97 pins behind in second as he tried to win a fourth straight Iowa Open.
