The Nebraska Cornhuskers lost their first match of regional competition in the 16-team NCAA Women’s Bowling Championship on Wednesday, putting them constantly on the brink of elimination as they advanced through the brackets.
They survived every test in the competition at AMF Pro Bowl Lanes in North Kansas City, Missouri, and seven wins later, Nebraska had won its sixth NCAA and eighth overall college bowling championship since it became a varsity sport at the university.
