Tom Hess soared to the lead in Saturday’s second round of qualifying at the 2021 PBA50 David Small’s JAX 60 Open at JAX 60 in Jackson, Michigan, according to results posted here. Hess was third after Friday’s first round with 1,653 for seven games bowling on the burn squad, then added 1,656 on fresh oil on Saturday to total 3,309 for 14 games (236.36 average) for a 31-pin lead over the 3,278 of first-round leader Larry Verble.
