If you have not seen it, may I introduce you to the best bowling video ever. If you doubt that, watch it and judge for yourself.

Veritasium’s “How Hidden Technology Transformed Bowling” has drawn more than 5 million views in being live for only a matter of days.

Since Veritasium has more than 10 million subscribers, that many views is understandable.

But then I saw that there were more than 5,000 comments and started reading through them, and was astonished to see that they were almost universally positive, and rather than making fun of bowling, expressed appreciation for the technical side and complexity of bowling that they never knew.

To me, it made the argument for visible oil I’ve long made, which would start conversations and questions that could be answered by showing people “How Hidden Technology Transformed Bowling.”

Here is how Veritasium describes the video on YouTube:
“Bowling has been reinvented many times over the past seven thousand years but especially in the last 30. This is the fascinating physics of balls, oil, lane and pins.
