Led by PBA Tour star Jesper Svensson averaging 269, huge scores were the story in Saturday’s opening day of the 2021 IBF Super World Championships at the Dubai International Bowling Centre. The 2-handed lefty from Sweden totaled 1,345 on games of 269, 259, 279, 279 and 259 — and only had a 32-pin lead over Saudi Arabia’s Abdulrahman Alkheliwi who totaled 1,313 on 300-267-207-239-300, becoming the first man with two perfect games in one World Championships.
