Why PBA CEO Colie Edison’s resignation wasn’t a surprise, and where Bowlero might go from here

PBA stunned much of the bowling world on Wednesday by announcing the resignation of CEO Colie Edison. I was not surprised, as I never saw Edison as a long-term fixture in the position. To start, she was not a bowler with a love of the sport, in contrast to Tom Clark, the PBA Commissioner who lost the CEO role to Edison when Bowlero bought PBA in 2019. Loving the sport and the PBA doesn’t guarantee success, as Mark Gerberich could attest. But it makes a person want to hold on to the job...
