After I wrote this story last month on the PBA Tour banning wrist supports with “restrictive material” such as steel or plastic supportive bracing starting in 2023, I received a couple of messages letting me know that plugged balls also would be banned starting in 2023. I intended to get to it after the ensuing weekend’s Players Championship regional stepladders, but Sean Rash’s outburst and some other stories and work pushed everything back and I confess that I forgot...
