Brandon Novak, who I think of as the Jim Furyk of bowling, edged past Mykel Holliman for the lead after Wednesday’s second round of the 2022 USBC Masters at the Gold Coast in Las Vegas.
The 33-year-old right-hander with the wild armswing I can never watch enough rolled games of 289, 189, 172, 279 and 246 for 1,175 in the second round and a 10-game total of 2,279 total (227.9 average), eight pins ahead of the 2,271 of Holliman, who was the first-round leader.
