I had heard much speculation about the impact of USBC’s much anticipated tiered center certification program that was announced Thursday at the USBC Annual Meeting. Some opined that only centers that were at a certain tier or higher would be eligible to host association championships. I was skeptical there would be such a rule, at least without room for exceptions, because I know of 1-center associations and I couldn’t imagine USBC telling such associations they can’t have...
