Having the USBC Women’s Championships in the Chicago area in 2021 was supposed to provide a boost to entries, with so many more bowlers able to drive than can to Las Vegas or Reno.
Then came the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced the cancellation of the 2020 Open and Women’s Championships and led to the switch of the Women’s Championships to Reno in 2021, with Addison, Illinois moved to 2022.
