No score is safe: Alex George fires 848 to eclipse leading 835 in singles at 2022 USBC Open Championships

The old saying that “No score is safe” isn’t literally true: a 900 series is safe to win the singles Eagle, since all those who tie for first get an Eagle. But figuratively it is true at the 2022 USBC Open Championships at South Point Bowing Plaza in Las Vegas, where 1,518 was eclipsed in doubles and multiple 2,200s are short of the lead in all-events.
