Bill Rowe averaged 252.43 to soar to a 163-pin lead Tuesday’s first round of the PBA50 South Shore Open at Olympia Lanes in Hammond, Indiana, according to results posted here.
Rowe fired games of 278, 241, 226, 279, 237, 269 and 237 for a 1,767 total on the Billy Hardwick 44 lane pattern.
“It might have been one of the best blocks I have ever bowled,” the 57-year-old right-hander said in this PBA news release.
