For much of the history of the PBA Tour, including its heyday, host centers shut down during their “Tour week.”
Other than pro-ams, the only players bowling in the center were the pros, from PTQ day (if there was a PTQ) through the TV show.
Rare was the place with a significant amount of fans in the stands at 9 a.m., though there were a few like Milwaukee where I remember fans downing beers and cheering loudly as we were throwing practice balls on the first squad.
