In my preview story for the 2023 USBC Queens, I wrote that with a lane pattern almost identical to the 2023 USBC Masters pattern combined with the topography at Sam's Town, low scores look to be on the Queens menu this year. In Thursday’s opening round, just 44 of 216 players averaged 200 or better, with Josie Barnes leading with 1,147 on games of 278, 200, 246, 201 and 222, a 229.4 average.  The 2023 Queens lane pattern is 45 feet, with a 43-foot drop brush, 28.04 mL of Kegel Ice oil...
