If you were wagering on who would earn the top seed for the 2023 U.S. Women’s Open before the tournament started, you probably wouldn’t have put your money on Clara Guerrero.
The Colombian right-hander has a high finish of just 33rd this year, but earned the top seed by averaging 209.77 on the four challenging lane patterns at ABC Gates Bowl, going 16-8 in match play and finishing with a 56-game total of 12,227, counting 30 bonus pins for each match victory.
