Defending champion Amleto Monacelli would have a major advantage if the PBA60 Tristan’s T.A.P.S. Memorial Tournament went from qualifying to round-robin match play.
But the tournament at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl in Columbus, Ohio moves from qualifying to bracket match play, so Monacelli’s 163-pin lead over fellow Hall of Famer Pete Weber only earned him a first-round bye, according to results posted here.
