If someone asked me to list the bowlers I thought had the best chance to shoot a 900 series, A.J. Rice definitely would have been on the list. The powerful 2-handed lefty strikes a ton when he is on — his prior high series was 895 in an uncertified league — and there’s little doubt left-handers have an advantage in that there is far less play and transition on their side of the lane.
