John DelGuidice fired his first perfect game, and Jeff Barsness, Ben Howery and Dan Swenson all fell a shot shy of perfection to highlight Madison area bowling over the weekend and Monday.

DelGuidice’s 300 came in a 702 series in the Sport Bowl Merchants League.

Competing in the Spartan Bowl Major League, Barsness, who has had numerous 300s, rolled a 299 in a 773 series, and Howery, the son of Madison Area USBC Hall of Famer Tom Howery, saw a 7-pin cost him his first career 300 as he slammed a 299 in a 761.

Swenson, who has been on a tear of perfect games in recent weeks, had a whoops 295 in a 716 in the Dream Lanes MARBA East League.

Patty Spires-Merkel led women’s scoring with a 625 in the Bowl-A-Vard Lanes Frosty's at Five League.

Kari Kipp was next with 615 in the Dream Utility League.

Other men’s series of 750 or higher were 757 by Shane Sosinsky, 752 by Matt Krueger, and 751 by Arick Ecker, all in the Spartan Major.

Note that with the State Journal now having early deadlines at night, more scores from one day will appear two days later, so, for example, it will be more common for Wednesday scores to be reported Friday, Thursday’s on Saturday, and so on. Any Madison Area USBC center that has scores that didn't get printed or reported by me can send me those scores to help@11thframe.com.
