Retired as UAE coach, Mika Koivuniemi is back in the U.S. and leading the season-opening PBA50 Hamtramck Singles Classic

After retiring as United Arab Emirates coach, Mika Koivuniemi moved back to Michigan, which isn’t a good thing for PBA50 Tour competitors. On opening day for the 2024 PBA50 Tour, Koivuniemi averaged 233.29 to take a 5-pin lead over John Janawicz in the PBA50 Hamtramck Singles Classic at Vision Lanes in Westland, Michigan, according to results posted here. Koivuniemi fired games of 213, 244, 239, 233, 225, 224 and 255 on the Mike Aulby 39 lane pattern for a 1,633 total. Major Mika posted...
