Diana Zavjalova averaged a stunning 254.63 to take a 212-pin lead after Thursday’s first round of the 2023 U.S. Women’s Open at Royal Pin Woodland in Indianapolis, according to results posted here. The Latvian right-hander used a Roto-Grip RUBICON in firing games of 288, 226, 279, 206, 268, 268, 278 and 224 for a 2,037 total, with Stefanie Johnson a distant second at 1,825.
