The International Bowling Federation in November 2020 made string pinsetter certification its policy, available for every member country, even though the string machines of that time were what I call carnival — not the USBC certified ones. The move included extending memberships to IBF compliant string centers, and recognizing leagues, tournaments, scores and averages in IBF compliant string centers.
