Entries are open for the 2025 South Point Senior Shootout Nov. 10-14 and 2025 South Point Super Senior Shootout Nov. 15-18 at South Point Bowling Plaza in Las Vegas, tournament director Ron Mohr announced.

More than $275,000 was paid out to more than 190 players over the two 2024 events Nov. 11-15 and Nov. 16-19.

“The Shootouts commonly fill by May, and you can ensure your spot and save $50.00 on your Senior Shootout entry by paying in full by December 31,” Mohr said in his email announcement. “Thanks again and looking forward to seeing you at the 2025 Shootouts!”

For those unfamiliar with the tournaments, they are similar to the World Series of Bowling, with daily tournaments that lead to final, bigger event. 

For the SPSS, players must be 50 or older and have less than three PBA Tour and/or PBA50 Tour titles combined. Players 63 and older have no title restrictions.

The SPSS feature daily tournaments on patterns that are 35, 39, and 43 feet, with the South Point Senior Shootout I Am Bowling Championship on the 35 and 43.

For the SPSSS, players must be 60 or older and have less than three PBA Tour and/or PBA50 Tour titles combined. Players 65 and older have no title restrictions.

The SPSSS feature daily tournaments on patterns that are 36 and 44 feet, with the BowlTV Super Senior Championship on the 36 and 44.

Update Sept. 6, 2025: In the wake of USBC's new urethane rules announced Sept. 4, Mohr said in a message that "For 2025 we're allowing all urethane balls manufactured in 2021 or later (our 5-year rule). Didn't want to make a significant change just 2 months out. We'll review our urethane options for 2026 and beyond after this year's events."

Inside Bowling also has 2025 Shootout T-shirts and hoodies available on its website, with a significant portion of the revenue generated from the sales added to the Inside Bowling Challenge prize fund.
