In the 2014 USBC Open Championships in Reno, the father-and-son duo of Clark and Carl Poelzer won the doubles Eagle, making possible tournament history, as I detailed in this story. The Poelzers were the second father-son to win doubles — Walt and Bob Roy of Glenwood Springs, Colorado were the first in 1977 — and the win also made 62-year-old Clark Poelzer one of the oldest ever to win an Eagle — USBC doesn’t keep an official record.
