After taking a break for a year after college, Maryssa Carey paid her dues as a rookie on the 2024 PWBA Tour, cashing three times in 10 tournaments for $6,700 in earnings. She went from a self-described big fish in a small pond in college, where she was named Most Valuable Player by the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association and Bowler of the Year by the International Bowling Media Association in 2021-22 for Indiana Tech, to getting humbled on the PWBA Tour.
