Undefeated opening round of match play gives Verity Crawley 131-pin lead at 2025 PWBA Tour Championship

Verity Crawley opened the 2025 PWBA Tour Championship by averaging 244.63 and winning all eight of her matches Sunday at ABC Gates Bowl in Rochester, N.Y., according to results posted here.
And yet she has just a 131-pin lead over Shannon Pluhowsky, who went 6-1-1 and averaged 233.88 coming off a win in the 2025 PWBA Pepsi Open on Saturday.
Crawley fired games of 225, 238, 299, 237, 256, 233, 233 and 236 for a 1,957 block and added 240 bonus pins for her 2,197 total.
