Dean Distin and Michael Tryniski made history at the 2026 USBC Open Championships on Friday and put themselves in position to make even more history. Distin fired 792 (279-268-245) and Tryniski added 775 (249-226-300) as they totaled 1,567 in doubles to break the tournament’s doubles record of 1,566 set by Stephen Padilla and Brenda Edwards (now Padilla) in 2009 by a single pin.
