It seems clear that if top seed E.J. Tackett wins the 2026 PBA World Championship, he will be 2026 PBA Player of the Year. After all, Tackett leads the 2026 PBA Tour in points, money, and average by wide margins, according to the stats here not counting the World Championship, and all he needs to be eligible for the POY ballot is a title. Winning the last major of the year to go with seconds in two other majors seemingly would lock up POY, and winning the Norm Duke Open, PBA/PWBA Storm Striking...
