Being the qualifying leader at the USBC Queens is somewhat akin to winning the Par 3 contest at golf’s Masters — no one has ever won both the Par 3 and the Masters in the same year.
The qualifying leader hasn’t made the stepladder finals of the Queens since 2016, and Erin McCarthy knew that when she averaged 237.4 to lead qualifying at the 2026 USBC Queens at Gold Coast Bowling Center in Las Vegas.
