Voting percentage only surprise in E.J. Tackett winning 2026 PBA Player of the Year

There was no surprise in E.J. Tackett being voted 2026 Chris Schenkel PBA Player of the Year to become the first to earn four straight POY honors.
But it was surprising — at least to me — that Tackett received only 85.46% of the votes of PBA members and media, according to this PBA news release.
After all, Tackett’s dominance in 2026 was mind boggling, as I detailed in this story explaining my vote for him.
