A truly open Open Championships?

Could the United States Bowling Congress Open Championships become truly open, with even top pros like Chris Barnes and Norm Duke and Pete Weber and many others eligible? That seems to be a hot topic at this week's USBC Masters, according to some folks I've talked to who are there. Perhaps there could be a rule that would allow one PBA Tour player — however that is defined — per 5-man and doubles team, with teams still limited to two PBA members and doubles teams to one PBA...
