DeForest/Poynette/Lodi girls win Division 1 state title

The DeForest/Poynette/Lodi girls team won the Division 1 title at the Wisconsin State High School Bowling Tournament in Appleton over the weekend.
The DeForest/Poynette/Lodi girls edged Tremper by a pin in the semifinals and then defeated Bradford in the title match, Sun Prairie coach Cher Breunig reported in an email.
Sun Prairie finished seventh and La Follette 21st for Division 1 girls.
Amherst won the Division 2 girls title, with Columbus/Fall River fifth.
