March 25 tourney in Chicago area is tune up for Open Championships

One Sunday a month, Town and Country Lanes in Joliet, Ill., hosts a tournament that usually is a simple 8-game sweeper for both scratch and handicap bowlers. But on Sunday, March 25 at 10 a.m., Town and Country, 2231 W Jefferson St., is instead hosting what it’s calling a “USBC Tune-up Tournament.” The event will be bowled on the Open Championships lane pattern with 4-person teams competing in 3-games sets of team, doubles and singles.
