Sean Rash grabbed the lead as the scoring pace slowed in Wednesday's second round of the United States Bowling Congress Masters — just as Chris Barnes predicted after the first round. Social media showed more than a few people expressing dismay at the first-round scoring pace, which featured nine players averaging at least 240 and the cut spot of 63rd in the 468-player field at 1,093 despite a lane pattern with a 1.9-1 ratio.
