Mike DeVaney’s brilliant PBA Tour pro-am idea

Veteran PBA Tour champion Mike DeVaney recently posted on the PBA message board a brilliant idea for how to structure PBA pro-ams. The idea starts with amateurs bidding online or at the bowling center for the right to bowl with specific players. He envisions the proceeds split to the player, host center and charities, which makes it much more attractive to sponsors. (I would imagine there would be a base entry fee that an am would pay if they just want to bowl and don't care who it's with.)...
