Pete Yelk, Bob Tarrant fire perfect games; Chris Pounders rolls 299 on USBC Open Championships team pattern

Pete Yelk and Bob Tarrant fired perfect games, and Chris Pounders rolled a 299 game on the USBC Open Championships team pattern to highlight Madison area bowling on Thursday. Yelk’s 300 — he has had many — came in a 757 series in the Prairie Lans Classic League. Tarrant’s first career 300 came in a 625 in the Dream Lanes MARBA League. Pounders is a teammate of mine in the Ten Pin Alley Bullseye Masters League so I had a close-up look at his impressive bowling Thursday...
