They aren’t as brutal as they were at last week’s PBA Senior U.S. Open at SunCoast, but the conditions are difficult for this week’s USBC Senior Masters at South Point in Las Vegas. After Monday’s first round of qualifying, Sam Carter leads at 1,142 for five games (228.4 average) and Paul Nilsen is 63rd at 1,013 out of the field of 268, the United States Bowling Congress reported.
