Anthony Pepe and Carolyn Dorin-Ballard dominated the 34-foot Stockholm short pattern and grabbed the first-round leads Friday at the 2013 United States Bowling Congress Summer Team USA Trials, USBC reported.
Pepe, a stylish lefty, led the men's field with 742 for three games, while Dorin-Ballard, a Hall of Fame stroker, led the women with 740 at the International Training and Research Center in Arlington, Texas.
