Team USA's John Szczerbinski and Chris Barnes came close to perfection in winning the gold medal match of the men's doubles Wednesday at the 2013 World Tenpin Bowling Association World Championships, the United States Bowling Congress reported. Szczerbinski fired a 290 and Barnes a 279 as they defeated Finland's Pasi Uotila and Osku Palerma 569-473 in the title match at Sunset Station's Strike Zone Bowling Center in suburban Las Vegas.
