The PBA Cheetah pattern often gets grief for being too soft. Of course, there is no such thing as THE Cheetah pattern, as it (like all of the PBA animal patterns) has gone through numerous changes over the years. My favorite version of Cheetah is the one that had dead hook off the gutter but not a big build-up of oil to the left of 5-board, which made it challenging and allowed you to choose your mode of attack — straight and hard from out, often with a plastic or urethane ball, or...
