I’ve been fortunate enough to take the team lead four times in my USBC Open Championships career and it can be extremely difficult after such a draining effort to come back and bowl well in minors the next day. We bowled well in 1986 and 2009, when we also took the team all-events lead and ended up second, but not so well in 2010 and 2011.
