At the 1991 American Bowling Congress Tournament (now the United States Bowling Congress Open Championships) in Toledo, Ohio, Bret Faulkner went from 489 in doubles to 819 in singles, ultimately finishing in third, just seven pins behind Eagle winner Ed Deines.
