Madison area bowlers made runs at leads in Open Championships singles, doubles

I’ve been so busy I missed writing up some great performances in the past week by Madison area bowlers at the United States Bowling Congress Open Championships. Chris Pounders and Heath Haug moved into fourth in doubles, Matt Riege into third in singles, and Derek Eoff had another 2,100 all-events. Pounders rolled 719 (257-224-238) and Haug 677 (196-258-223) for 1,396 in doubles, 69 behind Clark and Carl Poelzer, while Riege slammed 792 (258-279-255) in singles en route to 2,086...
