A year after finishing second in the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame Xtravaganza fundraising tournament, Marty Waigand and Joe Zokal of Illinois won the tournament with the unique format at Red Rock in Las Vegas. Adding to the story is that soon after last year’s tournament, Waigand learned he had Stage 4 throat, tongue and lymph node cancer.
