Rookie Don Breeden of Clive, Iowa jumped from fifth to the lead as qualifying ended Sunday and the top 24 headed to Monday’s bracket match play at the PBA50 Grants Pass Open presented by Track at Caveman Bowl in Grants Pass, Oregone. Breeden rolled games of 259, 226, 278, 258, 210, 221, 259 and 212 in the second round to finish qualifying with a 16-game total of 3,796 (237.25 average).
