The most stunning thing to me about Robin Romeo’s win Thursday in the United States Bowling Congress Senior Queens was that it was her first USBC Queens title of any sort. Romeo’s prior high finish was third in the 1980 Queens and she said during Thursday’s Queens telecast on ESPN2 that it had taken her 36 tries to win and she’d only made two Queens shows.
