Don Griffin of St. Louis fired a 290 in his final game to put the pressure on Herman Ferguson Wednesday at the United States Bowling Congress Senior Championships at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno, USBC reported. Ferguson responded by striking out to edge Griffin for the 50-54 singles title 2,128 to 2,118 — one of 12 titles won in the Senior Championships on Wednesday.
