A bowler can face the decision several times during a tournament: try to make a split or go for the count. There often is no right answer — it’s a calculated risk. Only when the competition is over does the bowler know if they made the correct decision. I’ve made splits and barely made cuts but also lost count that ended up costing me. I’m sure at least some of the bowlers around the cut at the 2015 United States Bowling Congress Masters at Ashwaubenon Bowling...
