Bowling in his first PBA event, non-member Jerry Brunette Jr. on Monday led qualifying in a field filled with Hall of Famers at the PBA50 Pasco County Florida Open at Lane Glo Bowl in New Port Richey, Florida. On Tuesday, the PBA50 Tour season opener heads into match play under a new format that features byes for the top 24 players, a cashers round to determine the remaining match play qualifiers and no brackets.
